The first ever women’s Tuaca ASP 6* longboard event went down in Newquay last week, pitting the world’s top longboarders against each other, including Newquay native Candice O’Donnell.
Vans Beach Clean Up Project
Vans are running a Beach Clean at Fistral Beach…
When: Each morning meet at 8am on Wednesday 10th, Thursday 11th, Friday 12th, Saturday 13th, Sunday the 14th and Monday the 15th August.
Where: Meet at the front of the Fistral Beach Building at the RBM Office.
Why: As the first 10 people get a Vans goodie bag and the first 50 will receive a free ticket to that nights event.
(Please note beach cleaners on Monday 15th August will receive a weekend ticket to the following year.)

The UK’s biggest surf, skate and music festival returns for one of the greatest culminations of music and sport the Cornish coastline has ever witnessed!
Men’s surfing has been upgraded to a 6 Star ASP World Surfing Series - that’s one star from becoming a prime event. We are also pleased to introduce 3 Star men’s and ladies Longboard comps and an almighty 10 stages of live music featuring over 100 bands! Dates for 2011 are 10th to 14th August.

New online community for board loving girls by O’Neill
You love boardsports? Then you will wanna be part of O’Neill’s new and unique social networking site FIRST LOVE LAST LOVE O’Neill team riders Tassy Swallow, Gracie Davies, Raine Jackson and Nicole Morgan are ambassadors for the site and will be posting blogs and behind the scenes footage from their travels and competitions . What’s more, when you become a member of the site you’re instantly submitted into a prize draw to win a trip for two to the O’Neill Cold Water Classic in Santa Cruz – the home of O’Neill. Plus every month there will also be loads of swag and goodies given away to members who post new tales! To celebrate the new site, O’Neill are hosting a launch day at the O’Neill Surf Academy at Watergate Bay, Newquay on 17th June. There will be FREE surfing taster sessions throughout the day and an O’Neill goody bag for everyo surfer. Plus pro surfers Tassy Swallow, Gracie Davies and Nicole Morgan will be on hand to give you some extra advice and guidance. The Taster sessions are 30 mins long and all equipment is provided. There will also be a 2.5 hour surf session on offer at a reduced price of £25 per person from 9.30-12.30 and 1.30-4.30 on the day.
